In "Jerusalem Dreams" and "Illumination: Jaffa Gate," decorative patterns based on Greek architecture and Islamic page illuminations are combined with photographs of contemporary Jerusalem. Struggles of modern day Israel are depicted by creating a tension between old and new motifs, and stylistically by juxtaposing modern technology against traditional painting.
