Collection: Leah Sosewitz Ketubahs

At the heart of Leah's work is the inspiration provided by texts, primarily Judaic, which include the Bible, midrash, poetry and other related materials. The resulting creative process is played out in painting and illumination, papercutting, design, laser etching in paper, wood, glass and fabric, calligraphy and gilding in precious metals. Leah enjoys combining traditional motifs with contemporary materials and in creating something visually interesting that brings the written word to life. These unique limited edition ketubot elegantly combine the traditional Jewish art form of papercutting with fine illumination. Each individually prepared laser cut Ketubah is available with a background paper reproduced from Leah's own hand-painted originals in your choice of blues or greens. Leah resides in the Chicago area.
